Ok, Got some sponge filters and I fit them to the tank. How often should I dose the fish now? I was doing it daily since there was a charcoal filter in it but now it won't be taking out the medication since it is just a plain sponge in it.

I'm still not convinced it's fin rot, but it's probably no har to dose just in case.

Well if the tail is nearly gone, then treating is the right thing to do.

Ok, update on situation. Fish doing well. They look to be responding well to treatment so just wondering is there anything you can give them to help the fins grow back?

just plenty of water changs and small amounts of food, fish if healthy and in healthy suroundings will generally regenerate their damaged fins in no time at all, just kep an eye on the fin edges for any signs of reinfection.
glad to hear they are healing up.
open the window there please, just to let the bull@h1t out.... thanks
