Hi I have been a long time fish keeper (fresh and marine) but just of late the last 6 months or so i have been putting quite alot time and effort into getting the best out of my tank.

At the moment I have marine tank.

Over the course of around six months I have upgraded a standard 180 liter jewel tank.

I have invested in a new JBL 1501 filter and removed the internal standard juwel filter.

I have also gotten a new DELTIC MCE600 protein skimmer.

And a V2 VECTRON 600 UV STERILISER.

The bulbs I use are T5 one blue and one white.

Lighting would be on 3-11 plus 1 hour each side with a black light.

FISH:
Blue tang,
Two Anthias wreck fish. male/female,
Bright yellow clarkii,
Pretty prawn gobby.

Few hermit crabs and snails.

NO2 = 0, NO3 = 0.25 , PO4 = 0.16, PH = 7.8, NH3/NH4 = 0.

Along with all the upgrades I also started using the new Red Sea programme and as you can see in the pic below this is what I am at right now with alot more ideas in mind! Also I am new to this site but really enjoying reading up on everyone else's tanks and tank problems as I'm sure I will run into a few myself along the way so am taking in as much as a can, any tips you can share on improving my tank would be nice :)

I swapped my old 240 liter tank for my new custom built clear seal tank. Its 620 liters and will be hopefully a really exotic marine tank. 5 feet in length and 2 feet wide. It has a 70 liter sump with all internal pipes. Really impressed with the quality of the tank.

I've learnt so much on my old tank and really putting a daily effort into this one. Looking at every aspect so that its silent running and gives maximum water quality.

Currently have two JBL s300W heaters and making my own RO water and then salting it. Just in the process of choosing the return pump from the sump and looking at the skimmer and reactors.

Will be investing a lot in this so I hope it will make a spectacular aquarium.
