Its not an ideal tank size i know. I will rehome my eel in a larger tank when he out grows his current home. Im running an external Fluval 205 canister filter witch is more than enough for my tank. I have a deep 4inc sand and substrate bed. Im planning to revamp the look of this tank, by painting the beach trim - black and changing the background from blue to black and redoing the inside of the tank
Im still new to fish keeping so if im doing anything wrong please tell me
would you not consider replacing the substrate with a fine sand, one in which the ell can burrow? i have seen the with only their head sticking out of sand waiting for prey, maybe start offering it worms frozen foods and try ween it on to pellets etc
Hi, My friend and I have raised a Tire Track from a new born fry, to one and a half years old. We were complete novices and new to fish keeping when we started. Its been a steep learning curve and I'm still learning about aquariums.
Our tank has moved from my house to my friends, and its now being returned back to me, due to him going traveling for a year.
I have made plenty of mistakes with this aquarium due to inexperience and wish to correct them. Any tips you could give me about my tank would be appreciated.
