Hi Ian.
The tank is fairly bare, bar a few rock and smoe wood. I do plan on adding more rocks and wood this
weekend so maybe once he has settled in he will start eating.
PS. The Lancefish were not touched.

Really chuffed with the fish. Showed me that Cichlids and Catfish are not the be all and end all of fresh water fish keeping.

It would be fish like this that I made me find marines boring by comparison.
As this little gets you know you, you may even find that it shows an affection that is wierdly primitive and fascinating. How these fish get to recognise you? maybe they sense electric fields outside the tank.

the ornatipinnis is a great one to start with as it does not suddenly stump you for fish that will mix with it.

Tried Prawns tonight but still no joy. My new Texan has gone missing though and may have become dinner.
He would have fit into its mouth.

Even if it didn't fit in its mouth, it only needs the plips (a pet name we call ours....big-plips, mini-plips etc) to THINK it can be eaten for it to have a go.

But.....now that you've gotten bitten by the primitive fish bug.....you need an adjacent tank with a lungfish in it. ;) (whoops.....I see you've already seen one for sale).

Another fantastic fish that may seem boring at first until it gets to know you and your routines. We can have a lungfish discussion thread if you're tempted.
