Can I put in just regular stones into my tank once they have been given a good wash .Was looking at putting some white oval smooth stones the type you get in BnQ

Some stones are inert some aren't. All depending on what your fishes' needs are. For all softwater species all décor including substrate should be inert,i.e. not contain any hardenss builders

I did buy a lot of oval stone from 4 home superstore, and after testing they are inert and look beautiful inside
