You can't import hard Corals from the USA without all kinds of permits, you could how as ever get someone to bring them back for you in their luggage or if you were stateside yourself , order to your hotel or pick up in store on the day of your departure, pack well and have heat packs and hope for the best

Maybe a little off topic.... but Jamie introduced me to the world of SPS corals this weekend. I got a green acro blue tip off him when picking up some other bits n pieces. Stunning looking display tank - already wondering how I'm gonna finance a bigger tank and upgrade from my nano.

Any recommendations on how to care for/ tips n tricks for SPS would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again Jamie, I'll be keeping an eye out for more of your frags.

Just keep your nutrients low as possible (undetectable if you can) and avoid any sudden alk/salinity/ temp swings and you'll be fine, also good amount of flow is ideal

+1 really need consider a big investment to your lighting not only for coral grow and health but also for enjoy on look at your tank.
T5 + LED is the best imo for a tank under 500L

I hadn't intended on going down the sps route just yet as I've only begun. I was looking more at soft corals to get me going, so I opted for the tmc aqua ray 1000hd (courtesy of keith around about the time his tuskfish harlequin decided to eat everything in its view). I've only got a 55L nano, so i didn't want anything massive mounted above it.

However, I already have a space (full room actually) earmarked for a future project.... where I plan on having a few tanks... my "tank room" if you will... the Mrs. doesn't know it yet, but she may get suspicious when I start redecorating that room with the door locked...

Thanks again for the advice folks, I appreciate. Fingers crossed it all goes well.
