Ok so this is my tubinaria which I got from Germany, but what is the hitchiker growing under it, My guess maybe purple encrusting monti, any ideas?

i think it is! and its bleaching from the base! how long is that been there?
This is a drug and im getting addicted little by little.

4 months!! I didn't take much notice at first but I moved it a few weeks ago and now I'm seeing great polyp extension on it. I had hoped they were growth rings. Should I try frag it? How would I go about that?

Looks like some type of encrusting montipora Alan, it's not bleaching from the base up that part must have been covered by the sand before you move it.

As for fragging I wouldn't bother bud, but if you really want to, I'd try removing the turbinaria from the rock and let the monti do it's thing and over the rock it's on!
